A former boutique hotel, Hotel 57 has been flying the Renaissance flag since April 2009 as part of the Marriott hotel consortium. The lower six floors of the red brick building have a 19th-century Renaissance history; The remaining 11 floors were added in the 1920s, when developers converted it into the Allerton Hotel for women.
